I’ve been swimming in the ocean in the general area around Blouberg for the last 10 months and loving
After a swim in the small bay where One Huisie restaurant is, in the greater area of Klein Bay. I’ve had excessive diarrhoea, a general nausea and within about 3 hours of those symptoms I have a severe headache.
There seems to be no apparent reason for the above, taking into account what ive eaten in the last 24 hrs, or acute stress.
All I can put it down to is the swim I had.
I got into the water on the left hand side of the bay where there are rock pools and all seems well, ie no smell of sewage. But I exerted near the retainers wall where the houses are and the stench of raw sewage was horrific.
